Delivered by mistake to a neighbor who braved the cold to drop off the Priority Mail envelope, my hostess set swaps from the Great Swaps Girls arrived today, so I guess I can post my card now!
The set I signed up to use is the new level 2 hostess set, A Little Somethin’, from which I used the Rock Star image. Stamped with Kiwi Kiss ink on Very Vanilla card stock, the star was punched out and mounted on top of a wide Chocolate Chip oval. The edge of the oval was sponged with Very Vanilla Craft ink, and the stars in the background were stamped with Very Vanilla Craft ink as well.
To keep the star theme going, I inserted a vanilla star brad in the corner of the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper panel. The (partial) sentiment from the Smarty Pants set was inked up with a Chocolate Chip marker, and stamped inside the Riding Hood Red frame. I also stamped a Kiwi Kiss star over the letter O with the help of my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.

As I was using my Punches Plus Classy Brass Template to do some piercing yesterday, I realized I don’t use the edges of the template near as much as what’s “inside.” So on this card, I dry-embossed along the edges of the Whisper White panel. I had to use this sentiment from Beautiful Life one last time before it retires, and it was inked up with two different markers to highlight certain words.
The daisy flowers were cut out with the Big Shot, and I used the colors from Kristina’s 38th Color Inspiration challenge. I added a Ruby Red brad, a 1/4″ and a 1/2″ circle to the center of each flower, and also did some sponging on the white circles.

Does this look “springy” to you? I participated in a swap for cards with a “spring” theme, but I wanted to use my new stuff. Let’s hope the other girls like it (and think spring when they see it).
Although Pale Plum is not listed as a coordinating color to the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper, I thought it went well with this particular pattern. I pierced each scallop of the four Pale Plum squares and mounted the stamped 1″ squares on top. The images were stamped with Rose Red ink and colored in with a blender pen and Classic inks.

I designed this Joy Fold Card with the pretty new Raspberry Tart papers for my stamp class this weekend. I changed the dimensions of the smaller piece of card stock from the SCS tutorial to 2-1/2″ x 7″ to fit my stamped images (and to show off more of the designer paper!).
The sparkly heart is a piece of chipboard, covered with Fine Cosmo Stampin’ Glitter that was adhered with Heat & Stick powder. I mounted it on top of a Pink Pirouette circle and pierced Cameo Coral scalloped circle.
The (partial) sentiment from On Your Birthday and the flourish were stamped with Rose Red ink on Pink Pirouette card stock with the help of my trusted Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. I also pierced along the edges.

Judy‘s gallery is being featured on SCS today, and I found this lovely Tranquil Butterfly card of hers to CASE. I kept the colors and layout the same, but changed the images and added a rub-on sentiment.
I had to use my beloved Wonderful You set one more time before it is banished to the Dormant List on January 19, 2009. The Stems & Silhouettes wheel in the background was wheeled diagonally across the Whisper White card stock. I first tried rolling it straight up and down, but that didn’t show much of the images peeking out from underneath the gold panel.
