What better way to say goodbye to Wonderful You than with this enormous tri shutter card! The Basic Gray card base measures 5-1/2″ x 12″ and you can find a link to the further cutting and scoring instructions in the SCS Try a New Technique Challenge posting where I discovered them.
Most panels were made out of Designer Series Paper, except for the white panel with the two cut-out flowers and the Baja Breeze panel on the right-hand side, which was wheeled with Stems & Silhouettes. I rock ‘n’ rolled the Great Friend butterflies (by inking them up with Going Gray ink first, and then rolling the edge of the rubber onto the Basic Gray ink pad).

Have you heard the wonderful news? Stampin’ Up! is offering In Color Stampin’ Write markers in the new 2009-2010 catalog! I used four of them on this Limited Supplies challenge card: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Dusty Durango.
The challenge (LSC223) called for a one-layer card with a summer theme. I stamped the Cheers to You image with black StazOn ink and colored it in with markers. Then I used a blender pen with Going Gray ink to draw a thin shadow around the image. The sentiment was “stamp-a-ma-jigged” on both sides of the image, which I thought looked quite nice.

I paired on old sentiment set that’s on the Last Chance List, Hugs & Wishes, with some of the new 2009-2010 In Colors and Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. The sketch for this card is Fall-To Layout #44 from the clean & simple stamping blog.
I covered the Crushed Curry card base with two Razzleberry Lemonade designs. The birthday sentiment was stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink, and the Sanded background on the white panel was stamped with (second generation) Dusty Durango ink. I punched three Boho Blossoms out of the dotted Razzleberry paper and embellished them with half pearls. The new polka-dot ribbon only has dots on one side, so it’s very versatile. Of course I wanted to show off the dots the first time around!

Yay, I got my pre-ordered goodies from the upcoming 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog, and I couldn’t wait to make a quick, simple card with this cute robot! The set is called Lots of Bots and it has three robot images and includes the adorable “Happy Birthday, Human” sentiment (among others). I just saw the movie WALL-E for the first time, and I think that made me want this set!
I also used one of the new In Colors on my card: Soft Suede. If you’d like to see the other five colors, hop on over to my Facebook page. My Facebook fans and Twitter followers got the scoop on Monday!
The card layout is today’s Sketch challenge on SCS (SC231). The only “embellishments” on this very simple card are punched slots.

Jami is the hostess of the WICKED challenges on SCS this month, and I really liked her Idea Book & Catalog Inspiration challenge:
Create a card with all of the following 3 elements:
- Layout from a card in the IB&C (I picked the card on page 6)
- Color Combo from a different page in the IB&C (I chose the color combo seen on page 85)
- Feature a stamp set not on either of the pages you’ve already listed (I used a stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog)
This was a lot of fun, and I think I may do another one for this challenge. Why don’t you give it try, too!
