If you’ve received the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Catalog in the mail, you’ll recognize the fabulous new fall images and Designer Series Paper found on pages 12-13. I decided to try the thumping technique with two of the leaves, and incorporate them into Beate’s Weekend Sketch (WSC93).
The other day I was reading about neglected tools in stamping and that made me pull out my crimper. The corrugated Kraft card stock reminded me of the corduroy button I wanted to use on top of the grosgrain bow (and I learned how to tie this embellished bow from an exclusive Dirty Dozen/Fan Club tutorial by Karen Giron on SCS). I’ll be showing you how to do this in my next stamp class!

I was fascinated by the gorgeous ribbon (and the color orange!) on Emily’s A Taste of Summer Colors card, so that’s the card I CASEd for today’s Featured Stamper challenge (FS132) on SCS.
I picked colors to complement the Not Quite Navy ribbon I wanted to use and changed the stamp set to the popular Medallion background stamp. Since I needed a birthday card, I decided to add a little ‘For You’ sentiment on a tag.

I am back from Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention (which was awesome, as always!) and thought I’d better start off with a simple card after all these days without stamping (I have to admit I didn’t do my Make & Takes at the event; they are still in my convention bag).
The sketch I used was today’s challenge on SCS (SC241), only I turned the sketch on its side to accommodate my Cheep Talk branch. I stamped the bird twice with Real Red ink so that I could cut one out and add some dimension. Just a quick, clean and simple card to get back into the swing of things.

I swapped this card yesterday at the Stampin’ Addicts Meet & Greet in Salt Lake City! Hope the girls liked the window card I made with the A Cardinal Christmas stamp set. I wanted to use this particular designer paper, because it somehow looks as if the bird is sitting in a tree.
When you open the card, you’ll see I used the spotlighting technique with the Curly Label punch. It sure beats having to color the entire image when you’re making multiple cards for swapping!

I’m meeting with fellow Stampin’ Addicts in Salt Lake City today, and this card was made for a small “thank you card” swap I signed up for.
I just love this Thoroughly Modern paper and the color combination of Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay. This card could go to a man or a woman, don’t you agree?
