To my Blogging Friends

There is so much inspiration to be found in blogland, and I want to thank all of my blogging stamping buddies for sharing their wonderful creations on-line. You all inspire me!

This card was created thanks to a fabulous sketch from Verve (VLVDec03) and I used two of my newest Verve stamp sets for the focal point. Once again I was glad to discover that one of my Stampin’ Up! punches was a perfect fit for this image.

Tea for One

Tea for One

After sipping tea all day, I was inspired to use these wonderful images from Gina K.’s Lovely Shelf stamp set for my SCS Sketch Challenge (SC258) card. I used the colors chosen by Dawn McVey in her latest Raspberry Suite Color Challenge (#20).

Once I decided to use the Top Note die for my layout, I looked for aqua-colored ribbon and matching patterned paper. The dots in the Autumn Meadows DSP made me want to use the Texturz plate on the Kraft card base. I sponged Rich Cocoa ink around the edge of the card and Top Note die-cut. The images were colored with Copic markers and the tea cup was popped up with a dimensional.

Verve Rocks

Verve Rocks

I’m really liking the stamp sets I recently purchased from Verve Stamps, including the You Rock set I played with on this card. The layout I used is this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

Because of the fleur-de-lis pattern on the star, I went looking for a sheet of Le Jardin DSP (which I also used to pick the color combination for the card). The SU! large star punch turned out to be a perfect fit, so no cutting out by hand!

I’m really happy to be able to make sturdy ivory (and white) cards with Gina K.’s Pure Luxury card stock. That paper is phenomenal!

Enjoy the Journey

Enjoy the Journey

I made this card for the second Viva la Verve challenge of this month (VLVDec02). Thanks to Verve’s Thanksgiving Day sale I had some new stamps to play with for this sketch!

The card measures 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ and the four 3-1/2″ x 1-3/8″ side panels surround a 2″ Soft Sky square. I love how the design on the balloon is a miniature version of the Bountiful Backgrounds image. I paper-pieced the balloon with Melon Mambo and Glorious Green card stock and added the sentiment on a white tag.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Bountiful Backgrounds, Up, Up & Away (Verve)
Paper: Pure Luxury White (Gina K.); Melon Mambo, Glorious Green, Soft Sky (SU!)
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: 1-1/4″ Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!)

Inspired by Spring Silhouettes

Inspired by Spring Silhouettes

When I saw the color challenge announced during Gina K. Designs’ December 2009 release party (green & blue), I immediately thought of the elegant Spring Silhouettes Designer Series Paper. I stamped the Inspiration Mosaic background stamp on several of the paper patterns, and also on ivory card stock. Then I cut out the pieces I needed to put a nice-looking mosaic together.

I embellished with self-adhesive half pearls and a popped-up cut-out of one of the designs in the patterned paper.
