Christmas in Fort Meade

The Fort Meade girls are getting together for a Christmas/winter-themed shoebox swap today and I am happy to once again join in the fun! This is the card I prepared for them (and prepared is right, because I clear-embossed the background panel in advance for my 20 stamping buddies).

I was inspired by Fall-to Layout 110 on the clean & simple stamping blog. After trimming the left and right edges of the Christmas Collage image, the sentiment and image panels slightly extend past them (which is pleasing to my eye). The wreath is a partial image from the Northern Hearts hostess set that was inked up with red and green markers. All edges were sponged with Crumb Cake ink for a vintage look!

Thanks for stopping by!

Very pretty! I too love how the sentiments/ornament flow outside of the main image.

Vera: I love this card and your color selection. I have been eyeing this stamp. I’m thinking I may have to breakdown and purchase it.
