Make a Wish, Birthday Boy

Little Diego, the only son of our friends in Virginia, is turning 5 years old on Saturday. I noticed the cake image in the Birthday Bash stamp set held five candles, which was absolutely perfect! Looking around for designer paper that was appropriate for a little boy, I found this thin-striped paper in the Welcome Neighbor DSP pad. I had a paper-pieced cake in mind, and the stripes worked out well. The rest of the cake was colored with Copic markers. To finish off the card, I added a blue (striped) ribbon along the top fold.

Thanks for stopping by!

Perfect card for a 5 yr. old boy. Wonderful vibrant colors & design — everything looks like they were made to go together.
