True Blue Friend

Here’s another card we did at my stamp class this weekend, using the Go Go Boots Sizzlits Alphabet Die Set. The letters were cut out of Close to Cocoa card stock and glued onto the card as the last step (short names were recommended!).

The Ski Slope Designer Series Paper started out as a 5-1/2″ x 4″ piece, and we created a fancy scalloped border with the slit punch. On the back side of the paper, we made pencil marks about 2″ from the bottom at 1/2″, 1-1/4″, 2″, 2-3/4″, 3-1/2″, 4-1/4″, and 5″ (you’ll notice that the marks are 3/4″ apart). Then we matched up the center of the slit punch with each pencil mark and punched the paper seven times. We folded over the edge to show the other side of the double-sided patterned paper and slipped in a 5-1/2″ x 1/2″ strip of Real Red card stock, which was adhered to the DSP.

The Punches Three sentiment was stamped twice on Whisper White card stock and punched out with the square scallop punch. The red image was trimmed down and mounted on top of the blue image with dimensionals. Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain ribbon was tied in a knot to the Real Red card.

Thanks for stopping by!
