Stair Step Card

This is the first stair step card I’ve ever made, and I designed it for my stamp class this weekend. I started out with a 4-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ piece of Bravo Burgundy card stock. This paper was scored at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″, 4-1/4″, 6″, and 8-1/4″. When you fold on these score lines, make sure that the smallest “step” is at the front of the card. The patterned papers are all 4″ wide and have varying heights (1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″). We stamped the Eastern Blooms branch with VersaMark ink on the Pink Pirouette scallop circle and embossed it with silver powder. The scallops were pierced and the piercings were accentuated with the white gel pen.

The large flower was stamped with Bravo Burgundy ink on Pink Pirouette card stock and cut out. A large pop-glue dot was placed in the center of the flower and silver embossed (don’t forget to use your Embossing Buddy on the flower before adding the glue dot!). The little flower was stamped on Whisper White card stock and punched out with the largest flower in the Boho Blossoms punch. The edges were sponged with Pink Pirouette ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

Vera, this is just gorgeous! And those cards are easier than they look, aren’t they! I love the tip on using the glue dot for the awesome center of the large flower!! Lovely!
