Luck Be a Lady… Bug

Waltzingmouse March Blog Party

“Luck” is the theme of this month’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party. Not surprising, since today is of course St. Patrick’s Day. The song “Luck Be A Lady” immediately popped into my head, and when I discovered that ladybugs are considered good luck charms I followed the directions in Kelly Slattery’s YouTube video to create Ladybug Punch Art for my card.

The card design was based on SCS Featured Stamper Nancy Littrell’s Simply Congratulations card. Instead of using several patterned papers, I stamped a variety of background images and ended up using five different WMS stamp sets! The dots on the ladybug were created with a small solid circle stamp from the Vintage Circles Small set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Compact Sentiments – Part Two, Vintage Circles Small, Off Beat Backgrounds, Pic-Nic Patterns, Musical Backgrounds (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black (SU!); Pure Luxury Crème de Menthe, White (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Real Red, Gable Green (SU!); VersaFine Onyx Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, 1″ Circle Punch, 1-3/8″ Circle Punch, 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, Horizontal Slot Punch, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Green Satin Ribbon (Ellen Hutson); Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal)

Oh this is so sweet, Vera! I love that you made a ladybug card for the luck theme. I always think of it when I see them (even the ones that sneak in my house all summer!) Love the ribbon gathered with the beautiful clasp. This card is so sunny and cheerful that it’s making me yearn for spring even more!
