Waltzingmouse February Blog Party
With a doilies theme this month, I could not resist participating in the Waltzingmouse Blog Party. To my surprise I ended up using four different Waltzingmouse Stamps sets to create this card, after pulling out only the Dainty Doilies set originally.

My card was totally inspired by Mary Marsh’s Fill the Season Christmas card on SCS, where she is the Featured Stamper today. Instead of dry embossing the red strips of cardstock, I stamped the stiched lines in VersaMark and heat embossed with white detail powder. The filigree brad reminds me of doilies, so I tied one to the red bow with black embroidery floss.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Dainty Doilies – Large Set, Compact Sentiments – Part One, Vintage Circles Small, Off Beat Backgrounds (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Paper: Pure Luxury White, Red Hot, Black Onyx (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark (Tsukineko); Real Red (SU!)
Accessories: Big Shot, Filigree Brads, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Regal Flourishes Texture Fades Embossing Folder (Sizzix); Standard Circles Large & Small Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Red Hot 5/8″ Double-Stitched Ribbon (Gina K Designs); Bow-Easy (Posi-Bendr); Black Embroidery Floss (DMC); Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal)

I ADORE how you used the stitched image to create the bold red panels like that! This is a stunning and elegant card. Beautiful colors and the embossed background matches your doily perfectly. Love how you layered the tag image over the top of it! So glad you could join the party this month, Vera!!
