Let Us Give Thanks

I’m very thankful that today, on World Card Making Day, I managed to make a couple of cards. I am also extremely thankful for the wonderful sketch challenges Julee Tilman posted for Verve’s release week; her layouts are just the best! This card uses the first sketch, VSWCMD1.

The basket and pumpkins were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. I only used one word of the ‘Let Us Give Thanks’ sentiment from the Bountiful Baskets Additions stamp set (a technique called omitting), because that’s all that would fit inside the hardware frame.

Hope you were able to make a card today! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Bountiful Baskets Additions (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Paper: Really Rust, More Mustard, Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper (SU!); Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown, Ivory (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Aged Copper Hodgepodge Hardware, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Jute Ribbon (Gina K. Designs); Copic Markers (E33, E59, E99, YG93, YG95, YR12, YR14, YR16, YR18, W1)

Beautiful take on Julee’s sketch, and your coloring is perfection! Wonderful mix of DSP and your sentiment in the hardware frame is a great touch.

(yes, pinking shears are my new best friend!)
