I have a dear friend who has a February 14 birthday, and I always try to make her card special. This year I happen to have a stamp of the date itself, an image from the A Happy Heart set, and I just had to use it.
Kristin, one of my fellow Great Swaps Girls, challenged us to make a monochromatic card and I went for a Riding Hood Red / Very Vanilla color combo. She also wanted us to use one current and one retired stamp set, so I grabbed the retired It’s Your Birthday set for the sentiment at the bottom of the card. The “vintagey” red ribbon from the Dress Up Ribbon Originals was just the right color for the card.

OMG! Vera, This is the bomb! Love the colors you chose, and that vanilla pops so awesomely (yes I made up that word) on the red!! Beautiful. Your friend will adore it!
