Painting with Bleach

Even though I haven’t used my Summer by the Sea set as much as I thought I would, I am sad to see it made the retired list this time around. So I wanted to make a quick card (translation: no watercoloring) with it before it goes, and Jen del Muro latest SFYTT sketch fit the large image perfectly.

I stamped the girl with VersaMark ink on Pale Plum card stock and embossed with black detail powder. Then I “colored” in the image with bleach and a watercolor brush, which removed the color from the card stock. After it dried, I matted with Basic Black card stock.

The patterned papers are from the Parisian Summer DSP package, and the black brads are part of the Vintage Brads collection.

Thanks for stopping by!

Great card idea. I also just started being a SU! demo and I love this set. Thank you for sharing your great card and I can hardly wait to give this one a try myself. Thank you again.

Very pretty. I learned the bleach technique years ago but haven’t used it in a long time. I may just give it a try.
