Tough Color Combo

I really had a hard time trying to design a card for Kristina’s latest Color Inspiration challenge (#28). In the end, I pulled out my Always set and a Pumpkie Pie sheet of Sweet Always Designer Series Paper. I stamped the heart images with VersaMark ink on Ruby Red card stock, embossed them with white embossing powder, and cut them out. The large scallop circle was cut with a Sizzix die, and I stamped the branch image along the edge with Sage Shadow ink.

The sentiment from Always in My Thoughts was stamped with Ruby Red ink on Whisper White card stock and punched out with the small oval punch. The mat was punched out of Sage Shadow card stock with the large oval punch, and two Ruby Red brads used as embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow. This is a really pretty card! It was too much of a challenge for me–I am in the Christmas card groove and couldn’t seem to come up with anything in that color set.

Vera, Great card. I wanted to use this set for the challenge, but was too tired to figure out how. Love it a lot. You visited my blog and commented, thanks. Embrace stamp set is my go to stamp set when I can not figure one out. I can do it in my sleep! LOL! Thanks again.

I love how it turned out, that partial scalloped circle is a grea accent.
