Holiday Mini Swap

I made this card with Scandinavian Season for a Holiday Mini swap, also hosted by my friend Sharon. Looking for inspiration on splitcoaststampers.com, I found that week’s Sketch challenge (#193). The card base is a regular 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Chocolate Chip card stock folded in half. I did a lot of silver embossing on this card: on the 5-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ strip of Real Red, on the three 3-3/4″ x 1/2″ strips of Brushed Silver, and on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock, on which I stamped the tree with VersaMark ink.

I colored in some parts of the tree with Real Red and Kiwi Kiss ink and a blender pen, cut out the tree, and mounted it on a piece of Ski Slope Designer Series paper. The little Riding Hood Red felt snowflake was adhered to a 1-1/4″ Whisper White circle with a silver brad.

Thanks for stopping by!

I loved what you did with this card! It is beautiful. I love how you placed the three stripes on the back and embossed the red stripe on the side. It really compliments the card! Love it! 😀
