Featured Stamper: Michelle (aka shellapoo)

August 9th, 2008 · 4 Comments

I wasn’t home last Sunday when shellapoo was chosen to be the Featured Stamper on SCS, but I had read her story and visited her gallery a while ago, and I really wanted to participate in this challenge and send her a card. When I read that she loves orange (me, too!), I just had to pick this Orange-y Wildflowers card to CASE.

Instead of using patterned paper, I first stamped the Twill background in Tangerine Tango ink on the Groovy Guava card and then added the grass in Whisper White ink. The flowers were inked up with a VersaMarker and stamped on Tangerine Tango card stock, then embossed with black powder. I first did one flower, then the other, since they are part of the same Inspired by Nature image.

The sentiment from the Fresh Cuts set was stamped in Basic Black Craft ink and embossed with clear powder. The fancy corners were made using the new Scallop Edge Punch. I just held the punch upside down and inserted my card stock at a 45 degree angle behind one of the scallops and punched.

Thanks for stopping by!

OK Vera – this is an A+ card. Love the twill bkgr with the white pigment ink. Then adding the black sillouettes was over the top. Then you had to even make it better by the innovative use of the scallop edge punch. Great job!!!

I love all the new sets! And I can’t wait to get that new scalloped punch. I didn’t get in on my pre-order…but it’s gonna be on my next order with lots of other new catty stuff 🙂 Great job on the card!
