First Sneak Peek

I knew I was going to love Stampin’ Up!’s new Riding Hood Red In Color! Here’s a card I made featuring products from the upcoming Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog, available August 11. I used the layout from SCS Sketch Challenge 183.

First I stamped the Twill background with Riding Hood Red ink on a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ Riding Hood Red card. A piece of Kiwi Kiss card stock was also stamped with the Twill background, in Kiwi Kiss ink. I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the edges before adhering a Bella Rose panel and the Kiwi Kiss panel to the card.

Happiness Always will be a level 3 hostess set in Stampin’ Up!’s new catalog. I inked up the big leaf image with Kiwi Kiss and stamped off once before stamping it on the Whisper White panel. This was repeated several times. The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. The flowers were stamped and cut out, and mounted on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. In the left corner of the white panel, I tied taffeta ribbon to an Aged Copper clip and added a flower on top of the clip. Three brads in the bottom left corner finish the card off nicely.

Hope you liked this sneak peek! Come back for more later!

I have looked at a lot of the cards you’ve made and I just wanted you to know that I love them. A lot of the cards I’ve seen on the ‘net’ that others have made are so busy with so many embellishments that the sentiment seems to get lost There is a lot to be said for simplicity. I made a card for my daughter’s birthday that I really like but can’t post a picture of it until after I give it to her as she reads my blog.
