Wonderful Polished You

Wonderful Polished You

I made this card for a new catty (Stampin’ Up! Spring/Summer Collection 2008) swap with the ladies of the GreatSwaps group. We all picked a new stamp set from the catalog, and I chose Wonderful You. I also used a new background stamp, Twill, to create a subtle background.

The bottom panel was created with the Polished Stone technique. I started with a piece of Glossy White card stock. I added drops of ink on a cotton ball drenched with rubbing alcohol, and dabbed onto the card stock to create the marble effect. Then I set it aside to dry and afterwards sprayed it with an acrylic sealer.

All supplies by Stampin’ Up!® unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Wonderful You, Twill
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, River Rock (regular & textured), Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Glossy White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, River Rock, Close to Cocoa, Gold
Accessories: Word Window Punch, 1/16″ Circle Punch, Gold Brads, Sponge Daubers, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Cotton Balls, Rubbing Alcohol, Acrylic Sealer

Lovely, Vera! Love the colors, polished stone panel and the torn edges. Great card!
