Verve’s Spring Fling Sketch

Verve's Spring Fling Sketch

I’m trying to get a few cards made for Verve’s Spring Fling challenges this weekend. This card was created for the sketch challenge (VSMARSF2), hosted by Amy Sheffer.

Amy’s layout called for a big circular image and the pretty one from Accent Notes fit perfectly! I replaced the smaller circle with the flower from the Love’s Flower set (cut out and colored with Copic markers). I also colored the white half pearls with my E02 Copic marker to match the Groovy Guava ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Accent Notes, Love’s Flower (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Stamper’s Select White (PTI); Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper (SU!)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Groovy Guava (SU!); Memento Rich Cocoa (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1-1/4″ Circle Punch, Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Stamping Sponge, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Standard Circles Small & Petite Scalloped Circles Small Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Copic Markers (0, E0000, E00, E02, YG11, YG17, YR01, W00); Self-Adhesive Pearls 5 mm (Mark Richards)

Lang Zal Ze Leven

Lang Zal Ze Leven

Where I come from, we sing this Dutch birthday song called Lang zal ze leven (you can hear it here on YouTube) instead of (or in addition to) the world-famous Happy Birthday song. The person I made this card for is celebrating her 19th birthday and because she’s a very talented musician and singer, I wanted to use these musical background stamps and this particular Dutch sentiment on her birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Vintage Borders, Lovely Labels (Gina K. Designs); Lang Zal Ze Leven (Victoria); Musical Note (All Night Media)
Paper: Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss, White (Gina K. Designs); Spring Flowers Designer Series Paper (SU!)
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Copic Marker (R01)

Mojo Contest Card

Mojo Contest Card

Sometimes you stamp something, cut it out, and then it lies there on your crafting table for days (weeks even) before you actually put it on a card. That’s what happened to this framed anniversary sentiment that I created with two stamp sets from Verve Stamps. It wasn’t until I saw the Mojo Monday 128 layout that I figured out what I wanted to do with it.

My card is only 5-1/4″ wide to match up better with the scallop trim border of the Basic Grey designer paper. I punched 10 small hearts out of Lipstick Red card stock and adhered them above and below the vanilla ribbon with Scor-Tape (the awesome adhesive). Two little mini heart brads finish off the card and the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Heart’s Desire, Wonderful Wishes (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Pure Luxury Lipstick Red, Ivory (Gina K. Designs); Fusion Collection (Basic Grey)
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray (SU!)
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Small Heart Punch, Very Vanilla 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Mini Hearts Variety Brads (Recollections); Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal)

Belgian Babies

Belgian Babies
Two new babies have been born into the family back in Belgium, and I have been meaning to send cards to my cousins. This will be the first one to go in the mail!

I used the new Oh, Baby! stamp set by Rupa Shevde and (my new favorite) the Lovely Labels set by Nina Brackett. I downloaded a wonderful free digital paper pack called 100% Sweet from the StampTV Freebies page and printed one of the papers onto Georgia Pacific White card stock for the background of my card.

I didn’t feel like coloring tonight, so I stamped the teddy bear on pink card stock and cut it out. The green background was sponged with Glorious Green ink and the bow was created with the help of the Bow-Easy.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Oh, Baby!, Lovely Labels (Gina K. Designs)
Paper: Pure Luxury Passionate Pink, Innocent Pink, Crème de Menthe, White,
100% Sweet Digital Paper (Gina K. Designs); Georgia Pacific White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Pink Passion, Glorious Green (SU!)
Accessories: Big Shot, Pink Passion Stampin’ Write Marker, White Gel Pen, Stamping Sponge, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Labels One Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Romance Ribbon Assortment (Gina K. Designs); Bow-Easy (Posi-Bendr); Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal); Embroidery Floss (DMC)

Little Joys

Little Joys

I made another card for Gina K.’s Illustrator/Design Team Challenge, this time using the Lovely Labels stamp set and the new Innocent Pink and Lovely Lavender card stock. The image would have been perfectly cut out if only I owned the Labels Eight Nestabilities (but sadly I don’t). However, I was pleased to find out the inside sentiment could be punched out with Stampin’ Up!’s wide oval punch!

I used today’s Sketch Challenge on SCS (SC270), which is a great one for using up little scraps of patterned paper. For embellishments, I added a trio of buttons to the right bottom corner.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Lovely Labels (Gina K. Designs), Sanded (SU!)
Paper: Pure Luxury Innocent Pink, Lovely Lavender, Chocolate Kiss, White, Wings of Hope Digital Paper (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!)
Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Button Latte, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals (SU!); Romance Button Assortment (Gina K. Designs)
