I hope debbiemom23cs is enjoying her day in the spotlight! Her gallery is full of wonderful artwork, and it didn’t take me long to find something I wanted to CASE: her Kioshi Note Cards. Although the colors are different, I used a sheet of Kioshi paper on my card, too!
I changed the color combination and moved the oval to the other side of the card, but I kept the floral images and the butterfly. Instead of stamping the sentiment on a tag, I stamped Enjoy your day directly on the scalloped strip of Lovely Lavender card stock. Flowers and butterfly were colored with Copic markers, cut out, and adhered with dimensionals.

Birthday wishes to my little sister who turns 40 this week! This is not the card I sent to Belgium, but since it’s a birthday card I thought I might as well post it in her honor. It’s actually another card I made for a Verve sketch challenge back in April.
The card I did send to the birthday girl can be seen here. I haven’t been able to part with this card since October and now at least I get to keep it in the family!
Thanks for stopping by!

I haven’t been stamping much lately (World Cup 2010 may have something to do with that), so here’s a card I made back in April for the Verve Beach Party Release Week challenges. I finally stopped hoarding that beautiful ribbon from the Masterpiece Ribbon Originals package!
Can’t wait for Verve’s new release next week! I’ll definitely be using that gift certificate I received for winning their Up, Up & Away challenge a few days ago.
Thanks for stopping by!

Here’s the second card I made for tonight’s double baby shower. First I stamped the ducks on the Labels Eight die-cut and sponged all over with Bashful Blue ink. Then I stamped them again on a scrap piece of white card stock, colored them with Copic markers, cut them out and glued them to the panel. The background images were white embossed.

Tomorrow I’m attending a baby shower for two neighbors who are both expecting a baby boy. This is one of the cards I made for the occasion. My next-door neighbor is in the process of selling her house and moving to Texas, so I thought a (rocking) horse image would be very appropriate for her card!
I stamped the image and sentiment from Rupa Shevde’s Oh, Baby! set in black ink on a Labels Seven die-cut. I traced around the inside of the die with a red glitter pen. When I colored the saddle red with Copic markers, it was wonderful to be able to stay inside the lines (for the first time ever, I think). Red is not an easy color when you’re working with Copics. The background was stamped with blue ink and striped grosgrain ribbon was the only embellishment I used.
