Last month I made this card for a sketch challenge on StampTV (gkdfeb11sd). It just dawned on me back then that these flowers from Gina K.’s Spring Mix stamp set go really well with Stampin’ Up!’s Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper. Don’t you agree?

I’m so glad spring has finally arrived! Here’s a little card to celebrate my favorite season.
I followed sketch SC320 from splitcoaststampers.com and used the out-of-the-box technique with my daffodils. I stamped the image with black ink on white card stock, colored it with Copic markers, traced a rectangle around the image with a pencil (letting the leaf on the right-hand side extend beyond the drawn line), and cut it out. The patterned paper I matted the image with is the same as that on the left panel. The white organdy bow was attached to the card with Scor-Tape.

I can’t believe this is my first blog post in almost three weeks! No wonder I had a hard time coming up with a design for the shoebox swap I’m attending in Laurel today. I really should finish organizing my new (basement) stamp room so that I can get creative again.
Thanks to Fall-To Layout 130 from the clean & simple stamping blog I ended up with a fast, easy-to-make card for my stamping buddies. It was nice to discover how perfectly the happy birthday sentiment from the Curly Cute set fit inside the Top Note die-cut.

I can never have enough birthday cards in my stash, so that’s what I made with Viva la Verve sketch #4. I grabbed my Cappella paper pad and found two patterns to use for the background. The Classy Label was also cut out of the patterned paper.
I dry-embossed the pink paper before attaching it to the Always Artichoke lacey square die-cut. The ribbon treatment was created with the use of my favorite strong adhesive: Scor-Tape.

I made a quick card for today’s FS Challenge on SCS, honoring the talented CAS artist StampGroover. I saw a card in her gallery that reminded me of The Angel Company’s Flower Collage Trio images. Wanting to stay close to the blue/green color scheme, I decided to use the pansy stamp.
This layout just called for a tent topper version, and I constructed my “topper” with a Labels Eight die-cut. The violet matting was hand-cut (after tracing the outside of the die with a pencil). I added extra colored flowers on top with dimensionals, similar to what Cookie did with her butterflies.
