Never been on one, but this was the perfect image to put on my 16th wedding anniversary card to my bicycle-loving husband. I stamped the image and the teeny tiny sentiment on the die-cut with the help of the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for perfect placement.

I was very much inspired by my friend LeeAnn’s Old Fashioned Quilt card to make this distressed-looking background. The 1-1/4″ squares were adhered to a 5″ square piece of card stock which was then run through the Big Shot with the scallop square die (I used the “leftovers” to decorate the inside of my card). Then the scalloped square was dry-embossed with the polka dots EF and the dots lightly sanded to make them stand out more.

Although the colors are different, I used a sheet of Kioshi paper on my card, too!

I changed the color combination and moved the oval to the other side of the card, but I kept the floral images and the butterfly. Instead of stamping the sentiment on a tag, I stamped Enjoy your day directly on the scalloped strip of Lovely Lavender card stock. Flowers and butterfly were colored with Copic markers, cut out, and adhered with dimensionals.

The birthday cake and sentiment are images from Verve’s Big Wish stamp set. I stamped matching flowers from the Feel the Sun stamp set behind the popped-up cake. After browsing Theresa’s marvelous gallery, I CASEd her You’ve Got Mail card, using a similar image from the new StampTV kit.

The mailbox was stamped with black Memento ink, then colored with Copic markers. Afterwards, I took a VersaMarker and colored the entire image, then embossed it with clear powder. This enables you to sponge the background without getting ink all over your image, and it is much easier than creating a mask.

This card is pretty much what I’ve had in my head for the past week, trying to befit the first Viva la Verve challenge of this month. It gave me a chance to practice coloring with my Copics some more.

The flower from the Love’s Flower set was stamped multiple times with black ink on white card stock and then colored in. The little flowers for the brads were also stamped on white card stock, and I colored around them with the YR04 marker before punching them out. I had fun making this colorful card; it’s a nice contrast to the whiteness outside!

I’ve missed my stamps! Due to the snow storm that passed through our area last weekend I had to endure several days without stamping. We were stuck in Virginia while our neighborhood was experiencing record snowfalls in Maryland. It’s so nice to be back home!

I spent more time agonizing over this card than I wanted to, but it’s always hard for me to get stamping again after a little break. This card combines today’s SCS color combination (CC257) and last week’s sketch (SC266) challenges. Just a quick “Wishing You Well” card that can hopefully brighten someone’s day.
