Turquoise and Lemon

Sometimes a color challenge is indeed a real challenge, and this color combination almost got me stumped. Lee picked these colors for Gina K.’s April Release color challenge on StampTV (GKAPR10LM). I ended up combining the colors with Fall-to Layout 87 from the clean & simple stamping blog.

Since my order of Pure Luxury Turquoise Sea card stock hasn’t arrived yet, I used retired turquoise DSP from Stampin’ Up! called Bali Breeze. The swirly motif looks great with the butterfly, which was cut with the Beautiful Wings embosslit die. I stamped the sentiment from Sung from the Heart with black ink in the right bottom corner, using my trusted Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. No crooked sentiments ever!

Thanks for stopping by!

So elegant, but so simple. I adore it.

What a sweet card, Vera! I love the turquoise and lemon together – I’ve got to write that down so I remember that combo. Today, however, I’m making 40 swaps for a Leader’s stamp and share swap coming up on Sunday. I’m excited . . . my first SU meeting in the Twin Cities metro area!
